Tea Events: World Tea East & Natural Products Expo

The East Coast is getting a whole lotta tea love this month. Two major events are on the books to get your tea program ready for prime time. The Natural Products Expo East returns to Baltimore’s Inner Harbor after a few years in Boston, September 21-24. World Tea East invites you to "Discover your special tea" in Philadelphia this weekend, September 9-10. If seeing, tasting, sniffing, learning, and talking tea is your bag, head to one of these events to get your fix, and then some.

World Tea East is a two-day show and conference providing professionals the opportunity to discover new products, optimize merchandise, gain product knowledge and network with peers in an intimate setting. If your plans include a visit to Philly next weekend, please visit us in booth 214 and say hello. In addition to the myriad of teas and teaware represented at this show, a full calendar of workshops are scheduled to get you up to speed on creating and marketing your own tea business. Adagio’s Charles Cain even has a workshop to help you profit from your endeavors in "Tea 201: Finding Profitability".

If fall's back to school aura has you yearning for learning, The Specialty Tea Institute's Certification Classes, Levels 1 and 2, are also running in conjunction with the show, Sept 10 and 11.

The Natural Products Expo East is the natural products industry's big hurrah. Second only in scope to its sister show in California in March, Expo East expects 23,000 visitors to this year’s show, with nearly 300 brand new exhibitors flaunting their natural and organic goods. Tea is well represented at this show, naturally, but you may also find resources for greening your entire supply chain, from ingredients to packaging to shipping solutions. Suppliers, retailers, and food service purveyors alike stand to be inspired by the scope of this event.
